As the world recovers from the senseless terrorist attacks in Paris, and copes with the millions of refugees that have flooded into other countries, it is sometimes overlooked that horrific things are happening in America as well.

Two separate incidents have been reported at Framingham State University in which students were exposed to the Confederate flag, leaving them traumatized.

Metro West Daily News reports that in November alone, the school has had two bias reports submitted. The most recent occurred when one student saw a sticker of the Confederate flag on another student’s laptop.

Framingham State’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Sean Huddleston, said,

“We absolutely believe everyone is due and should be able to exercise their constitutional rights… We want to foster a community and an environment where everyone feels safe and welcome. If we have a student or faculty or staff that feels unsafe based on something that was said or they witnessed, we have an obligation to inform the campus that has occurred.”

In an E-mail that Huddleston sent out, he continued,

“It is strongly suggested that anyone impacted by a bias incident find someone to speak with.”

In other words, if you are a student at the higher education center that is geared towards preparing you to enter the real world, and if you saw a Confederate flag sticker anywhere on campus, it is suggested that you seek therapy for the psychological damage that you have suffered.

The ‘safe zones’ that Political Correctness has created on campuses have been spreading across the country, and have created an atmosphere where all ideas and thoughts are not welcome, only those that leave the students feeling happy and fuzzy inside.

At the University of Missouri this month, a journalist was trying to cover an event that was occurring on the campus, and recorded his experience on video.

He was stopped by a mob that was chanting,

“Hey, hey, ho, ho, the press has got to go.”

At one point, near the end of the video, the Assistant Professor of Mass Media, Melissa Clark, tried to instigate violence against the reporter. She yelled,

“Who wants to help me get this reporter out of here? I need some muscle over here.”

The safe zones have created a culture within college communities in which freedom of expression, speech, and thought has been replaced with freedom of do anything as long as you do not offend, minorities, women, transgendered, homosexuals, religions with the exception of Christianity, feel free to put a Crucifix in urine and call it art, and political affiliation as long as you are a Democrat.

It is not clear who we should be pitying more, the hyper sensitive students that are being churned out every year or the institutions that are indoctrinating them.
