Kanye West, an American rapper, is one of the best-selling artists of all time. He is currently married to Kim Kardashian and has won a total of 21 million albums as well as 100 million digital downloads. Time Magazine has named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world for 2005, 2011 and 2015.

After accepting the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award, Kanye West announced his 2020 run for president. “I don’t know what I stand to lose after this, it don’t matter though, because it ain’t about me, it’s about new ideas, bro, new ideas. People with ideas, people who believe in truth. And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president.”

Kanye West is now “threatening” to leave the United States and not come back. His reason is having to supposedly put up with continuous and unrelenting discrimination. He fears that his daughter with his new wife Kim Kardashian, North West, will be discriminated against for the same prejudices. One of the biggest and richest celebrity couples, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, feel that they are treated poorly based on the race of Kanye.

His statement comes after Kim Kardashian was insulted and called an “n-word lover” by a teenager outside a California medical building. When Kanye West confronted him, he allegedly threatened to take Kim Kardashian’s life. Kanye responded by punching the young teenager in the face. There were no charges pressed as of now. When interviewed about the incident, Kanye said he rather leave the United States than stay here. Kanye replied to several questions by saying “We’ve got enough money to buy our own island or some s**t. I’ll be damned if I raise my daughter around ignorance and flat-out blatant racism.”
