Bob Laszewski, an insurance expert who runs a consulting firm that tracks developments in the industry called Health Policy and Strategy Associates, has written on his blog that Obamacare is a huge failure for middle-class Americans.

Breitbart reports that the program, which was designed to insure millions of Americans who supposedly could not get insurance, has been appealing to the poorest people eligible because of the biggest exchange subsidies and lowest deductibles.

However, the middle class Americans, who have not received what has become essentially an expansion on Medicaid, are watching their premium rates and deductibles increase.

According to Laszweski,

“Every health plan I talk to tells me that they don’t expect their Obamacare business to be profitable even in 2016 after their big rate increases. That does not bode well for the rate increases we can expect to be announced in the middle of next year’s elections. Why is this happening? Because nowhere near enough healthy people are signing up to pay for the sick.”

Criticism of Barack Obama’s cornerstone legislation began even before it had even passed when Democrat Congressmen admitted to never reading the bill, rushing the legislative process, and hiding information about the bill from the American people.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi irresponsibly said,

“We are going to have to pass the bill in order for you to find out what’s in it.”

During Obama’s PR campaign to garner support for his health care legislation, the president made the claim many times,

“If you like your health care plan, you can keep it.”

That promise was broken as millions of cancellation letters were sent out to American who liked their health care plan, but didn’t meet the strict guidelines laid out in Obamacare.

Economist Jonathan Gruber, one of the lead architects for Obamacare, expressed his disdain for the American people, and admitted to lying about the bill in order to get it passed when he said,

“Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage, and basically, call it the stupidity of the american voter or whatever, but basically, that was really, really critical to get the thing to pass.”

Despite the lies and misrepresentations that the Democrats used in order to pass Obamacare, the law still survived, and because of that, the middle-class American people are watching more of their wages go towards subsidizing the lower class.

In a USA Today piece, Laszewski has published his ideas to reform Obamacare that would be acceptable to both the Republicans and Democrats, but as long as the community-organizer-in-chief is still in the White House, there is little hope for these solutions to pass.
